The Software Technology Park of India (STPI) is an autonomous society operating under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, specifically within the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) of the Government of India. Established with the primary objective of boosting software exports from India, STPI offers various incentives to facilitate growth in the sector.
Units registered under STPI can benefit from 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) through the automatic approval route.
Key reporting tools used within the STPI framework include:
MPR (Monthly Progress Report): This tracks the progress of product recalls by detailing the number of units involved and the number of corrections made over a specified period.
SERF (Service Exports Reporting Form): This is used to report detailed information about service exports, including software, IT-enabled services (ITeS), research, support, logistics, maintenance, and warehousing.
Softex: Used for reporting invoices raised during the month, it must be submitted within 30 days from the last invoiced date.
